Description – Project 1
Upcycle decorative flower vase
Materials Required
- Clean, empty glass bottle (I reused a 350 ml jam bottle)
- Any color acrylic paint – I have used orange color to make the project fall appropriate
- Contrast color ribbon
- Embellishments – pearl stickers
- Glue gun
- Scissors
Instructions
STEP 1: Clean the bottle and wipe it dry. Add 15 drops (increase or decrease the amount of paint depending on the size of the bottle) of orange paint into the bottle and turn the bottle upside down and place it on a paper plate.
STEP 2: Wait till the paint flows down and covers the whole bottle. The paint usually covers the bottle evenly with the paint when turned upside down but if there are spots without paint make sure to turn the bottle gently letting the paint flow in different directions to cover the left over spots. Once the bottle is completely covered with paint turn the bottle over and let it dry for a couple of hours.
STEP 3: Once dry, start decorating the bottle from the outside by adding the ribbon and embellishments.
STEP 4: Apply glue on the top of the jar and stick a piece of ribbon to cover the neck of the bottle. Make a small bow using the same color ribbon and stick it on the top of the jar covering the glued spot of the previously glued ribbon. Stick a pearl sticker/rhinestone in the middle of the bow.
STEP 5: Take a strip of pearl sticker and stick it around the bottle 1 centimetre from the base of the bottle. Take another strip of pearl and stick it around the bottle just below the ribbon bow.

STEP 4: Apply glue on the sides just 0.5 cm above the base of the bottle and stick a piece of ribbon.
STEP 5: Take a strip of the smaller rhinestones and stick it around the neck of the bottle. I have added 2 rows one at the top and one at the bottom. Use the bigger size rhinestones and stick them randomly to cover the empty space on the bottle.
